Client Services.
Discovery.
Our process begins with a comprehensive intake session with the client. We invest time on the front end getting to know the client’s strengths, interests, preferences, and needs using a functional employment exploration tool and our online assessment platform. We then create a work vision for each client that includes short and long term goals with action steps.
Preparation.
Before launching into the job search process, we work closely with our clients on job preparation activities including the development of both traditional and video resumes and role-playing for the job interview experience.
Job Development.
The job development process starts with a tartgeted outreach plan that considers the client’s strengths, skills, availability, and access to transportation. Our team then approaches potential employers and schedules a time to meet and deliver our Employment Proposal which showcases the client as a productive “value add” to the target businesses.
Onboarding Support.
One of our Certified Employment Suppport Professionals works with the hiring business and client to provide “on the job” support during the first 30 days of employment.
Long Term Support.
Our Certified Employment Support Professional maintains contact with the client and employer for the first 6 moths of employment and provides consultation and support as needed.
Travel Training.
We introduce clients to several options for transportation to and from work including New Jersey Transit, Access Link, Uber/Lyft, and other DDD-approved Transportation Providers. Where applicable, we refer clients for more intensive one-on-one training through the New Jersey Travel Independence Program at Rutgers (NJTIP).
